Roz Moskovits has been active in the horse industry for well over 25 years. She graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) Equine Studies Program in 1984, and later spent three years as lecturer and riding instructor for the NSAC Equine Studies and Public Riding programs. As a working student with John Kersley (3 day event team for Great Britain & Hunter/Jumpers now in Ontario) Roz was introduced to working with young horses, and the training and development of Jumpers for competition. Roz has competed in many areas of the sport but most successfully up to the Prelim level of Jumper and later at Medium 1 & 2 levels of Dressage. She was a member of the gold medal winning Dressage team for Nova Scotia in the 1994 Atlantic Equestrian Games.
Roz became a fully certified CEF/NCCP (Equine Canada / Canadian Equestrian Federation /National Coaching Certification Program) coach in 1985, and has taught professionally since then. Coaching riders from the beginner levels right up to the competitive levels of Dressage, Jumper, Hunter, Breed competitions and all levels of Pony Club right up to the A level. She also obtained certification as a Canadian Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) in 1991 and was active as a coach and administrator in the local and provincial Therapeutic Riding organizations.
In 1995 Roz was the recipient of the Sport Nova Scotia Equestrian Coaching 3M recognition award.
In the past Roz has held many volunteer positions in the horse industry, both locally and nationally. Some of these have include: Chair of Marketing for the National Dressage Committee; National Director and Vice President of the Canadian Dressage Owners and Riders Association (CADORA); President of the Nova Scotia CADORA; President of Nova Scotia Riding for the Disabled (NSRDA); Director and VP for Public Relations of the Nova Scotia Equestrian Federation (NSEF); and provincial co-ordinator for the national Junior Young Rider (Dressage) Program.

Roz schooled her lesson horses as often as their schedule allowed, knowing it was essential to maintain their training and fitness for their work of teaching students.
Roz comes to her work within the horse industry with a considerable passion for and experienc in the management, training and development issues specific to the high performance sport horse. With extensive and ongoing study and work in areas such as nutrition, conditioning, behaviour, facility design, rider development and training issues, Roz continues to offer instruction to horse enthusiasts through lessons, clinics and lectures.
As a coach and trainer, Roz is recognized for her positive approach to athlete understanding and development. Roz is very proud of the many talented and keen riders that she has had the pleasure of coaching over the past 20+ years.
