the Stables of Hearthstone Equestrian are nestled in Saltsprings, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
Roz and her husband Rick are sincerely dedicated to providing excellent care with careful attention to the individual needs of each horse and their owner.
Full care board is offered at a reasonable rate with preference given to students of Roz interested in schooling and training with her.With an honest understanding of the need to build a lasting bond between horse and owner, Roz and Rick especially enjoy working with new horse owners who have an interest in eventually caring for their own horse.
The facility is a small private stable with an Indoor Arena, nine open format box stalls of varying sizes, a large feed room, heated tack/viewing room, pastures and paddocks ...
... this summer all the fencing of pastures and paddocks is being re-done to allow for a larger area outside for the horses.
As well, the adjacent 6 acres has been cleared for development of future pasture an outdoor ring to accommodate a 20m x 60m dressage ring and some hacking trails. Over fifty horses have moved through this facility since its construction nine years ago. Most of these have been either in for training or students of Roz boarding their horses here for the purpose of instruction. From 1998 to 2006 there was also a fantastic group of school horses who were a core part of the Hearthstone family! In Sept of 2006 the Riding School was retired to allow Roz time to spend on Private Instruction of Clients on their own horses and her ever expanding Life Coaching Practice.
With no lesson program, boarders can enjoy a more flexible schedule for riding.
Coaching and Training is always provided to boarders at a reduced rate.
